+1 for who ever can read the tail number of the "cessna type aircraft" the f-15's intercept :D

I agree definitely red tail flash, blue body and white wings
that's gotta be CAP

AirDX

I can't get the video here at work, but we flew one of those missions yesterday.  Doubtful it's ours, but I'll look when I get home.
Believe in fate, but lean forward where fate can see you.

Clearly a CAP plane, but you'll never get a tail from this video.

At first glance it looks like the CAP plane is screaming left to right, it's only when you see the still that you realize the
jet is turning right to left.

They really played up the "shoot down angle" and the combat experience of these pilots, so mentioning that their "target" is actually
"on the team", would kinda water that down, too.

It doesn't look like the jet is turning to me at all,
the jet is overtaking the CAP plane on its left side (passing by it at high speed, along the same heading with some lateral separation)  The F15's "fall out of the sky like a rock" stall speed is significantly faster than the cessna's cruise speed.  They probably had nose high and brakes, and maybe gear out to get that slow.

That camera angle is about 3 o'clock out the right side of the F15,
that jet body you are seeing at the bottom of the screen is the top of the intake

The camera starts out level, and as they pass by, and the camera follows the plane back, the camera rolls to the right, which is the ergonomic motion as you turn around to the right and look past about your 4 oclock (try it in a chair, look at 5 or 6 oclock you will be tilting your head. (the jet probably stayed level.  It looks like the jet starts a little bit of a left turn after it is past the cessna.

Close too...  well inside a quarter mile.

I didn't connect the video was taken by the Fox guy out of the right side vs. out the front.
