Proper Sequence for Re-qualifying on an ES Specialty?

Hello-

What should be the proper sequence for me to have mission qualifications on my 101 card?

I explain, I rejoined after a ten-year hiatus. So all my qualifications expired. Do I follow this sequence:

1. Print SQTR, then have the tasks validated on the PAPER form.
2. Transfer each as finished online.

If so, at what time would I get an 101 with the "training MSA" for example?

I went online, thinking that I had to request them first. Several went to Group, then to Wing, without any task completion. Wing, of course, denied them.

One, however, did not go to Group, but came back from my squadron CC with the status of "training."

Wow!

Eighteen views, and no one is trying to help with an answer!

Where are Eclipse or LordMonar? And others that post so many responses...?

Sorry I wasn't at my computer at your convenience. I was going to answer your question until I read this post.

And why did you get upset? Obviously if you were not among those 18 that read the message but did not reply, the message was not directed at you.

Woikin' right now, figured someone would get to it.

It may vary in some wings.

What exactly are you expecting? This is a free, open forum. I may read this, not find it something that >I< can answer, and leave. Someone who knows will typically come along eventually, but there's no need for your little outburst.

So pushy!

10 years away from CAP? You have a lot to (re)learn about CAP Emergency Services. All of it has changed.

You must start at the beginning.

Re-read my post. If you cannot answer the request I made, do not restate the obvious. Better do what those other 18 readers did.

Cut off the attitude. I am not asking "what do you think I do not know." That is between my squadron CC, ESO, and me.

I can see you'll get along just fine here.

Wow, such harshness. Do I need to sell tickets for this? Would it be profitable?

Enough nonsense.

As stated, you will need to literally start over. Dig into CAPR 60-3, and accomplish the requirements in order. Do the tasks in accordance with the task guide. Get some sorties, at the appropriate time, after getting a trainee designation.

The online entries for each section (Pre-req, Fam & Prep, and Advanced) must be approved by the unit commander before anything in the next section 'counts'.

In my post to N Harmon, I already stated I was beyond "starting over."

Again you come with his same message. Well, to use your step sequence, I have dug into CAPR 60-2, did the required tasks in order and in accordance with the task guides. The next step, according to you, Sardragon, is to "get some sorties."

This is the step I am. To continue this step I asked for help by starting this thread. How can I get the sorties, if my 101 does NOT show I am a trainee in THAT specialty?

You guys are reading arrogance or sarcasm, when it is plain CONFUSION at the steps. And when again I tried to steer the thread into what I needed, now again Sardragon you tell me to go to the beginning!

An analogy, I guess, comes to mind. Many times, a victim is severely injured. He is in shock, and reacts by being belligerent.

I came here knowing I was injured and in shock. Asked for help, and instead of getting help, I was told by N Harmon "man, you need help."

And you, Sardragon, continue the same attitude.

We will apparently never agree. Those of you that started answering the thread, if you really were as good as you think you are, should have recognized the syndrome for what it was.

Have a nice day.

Let's step through this. First, you must start at the beginning (sorry, it has to be said). If you're not a trainee, then the tasks don't count.

So, assuming that the prerequisites have been met, you have to be approved for the fam/prep portion of the SQTR. Then you do the fam/prep. Then you get approved for the advanced tasks. Then you do the advanced tasks and get your two sorties done. Depending on what wing/region you're in you may have to get a paper SQTR signed, you may not. Check with your local ESO for these procedures.
If you are confident in you abilities and experience, whether someone else is impressed is irrelevant. - Eclipse

If you are not showing trainee status, that means your commander has not approved your prerequistes and fam & prep sections. If everything is entered in Eservices, contact your commander and ask him to approve it.

If everything is approved, and you still do not show up as a trainee, ask your ESO to check into it.

Part of the problem is that many of the answers will be different locally.

Between local "double secret" policies, email approvals and notifications that don't work, are improperly assigned, ignored by the receiver, all or none of those, not to mention the occasional glitch, and a few wings still using the WMU for this or that, we probably can't answer the question.

I have been trying to get a 1-2-3 document written in my wing for 10 years, nothing yet.

To the OP: What you should really do is ask your sqdn commander to assign you a mentor who is familiar with current and local policies and guide you thru the modern CAP labyrinth.
