Is there a reg on keeping your eyes closed in formation? (such as the sun in your eye)

I would give a reason im asking this, but I don't want to.  :P

Major Lord

Although your motivation for asking such a potentially evil question is fascinating, there is no regulation that addresses closing your eyes in formation ( or while flying or driving) There is also no regulation mandating our response to an attack by a pack of wild Lemurs, but safety concerns and regs could certainly apply in all these cases. Take care of your feet and don't do anything stupid.

Major Lord
"The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the iniquities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he, who in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who would attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon thee."

If the sun is in your eyes while you are in formation then your Flight Commander and/or Sergeant committed an error in planning. They should not put you in a position to have to choose between being blinded by the sun and maintaining perfect bearing while in formation.

If you have someone telling you to keep your eyes open while being blinded by the sun.....have them give me a call.  I will straighten them out.

If there is a reg against closing your eyes, you are in violation every time you are in formation. You blink don't you. You probably aren't supposed to move your chest either. Cadet, quit breathing in my formation! >:D >:D
