The KS Wing Conference will be held on 27, 28 and 29 May.  Early bird registration is up on 16 May.

We will have a BBQ on Friday night with a meet and greet.  A full day of activities on Saturday for both Cadets and Senior Members.  Cadets will have a Airman Leadership school or a NCO Leadership school to select from.  On Sunday we will have various courses (to include an IG Basic Course).

The early bird price is $25.00 for Seniors and $20.00 for Cadets, this includes a place to sleep both nights.

BYOB (bring your own bedding).

For more information please go to www.kswg.cap.gov and follow the links for the Conference.

Ya know.. I envy those wings that can do this like that. :) Ours is a $400-$500 event for some, when you factor in the hotel if you pick theirs..

If I were in KS at that time..

Where in Kansas is this located?  All I see on the link is the KSNG will provide housing.

The truth is that any wing / region can do it this way, but many try and turn it into a min-vacation for their members and that is what raises the
price.

The flipside to that is that a lot of members wold not make the drive if all they had to look forward to was "work".

It is located in Salina Kansas, at the Kansas National Guard training facility and Kansas wing HQ building.

P.S. The guard out in Kansas treats CAP amazingly. You should see Kansas wing HQ, half the building is national guard officers, the other half is wing HQ. Its a very nice set up.

In god we trust, all others we run through NCIC

My opinion keeps changing on this.  I've attend 3 wing conferences and haven't stayed over for any of them (just drove in for the Saturday training sessions/general assembly.  HOWEVER, I think a lot can be said for staying at a very nice conference type center/hotel with an indoor pool, plenty of free parking and relatively easy access to the meeting locations right in the same building.  I personally don't see myself sleeping in a open bay barracks in a sleeping bag that I've brought.  Already did that (open bay barracks) very early in my AF career.

^ Sorry forgot to mention there is a base "hotel" across the street from the conference center for the rate of about $35.00 or so for those that do not want to stay in the open bays.

We try very hard to keep the cost where all our members can attend, and we seem to have some large families so this really becomes important.

Sorry no indoor pool on site.  We do have 4 very nice motels/hotels with a mile that do have those type of items.
