There is a cadet(1) within my squadron, who frankly is just an idiot. There is no way he could possibly become a true leader acting like he does.

1. Disrespectful to cadets around him,
2. Cannot shut his mouth within a flight,
3. Cannot stand at attention for their life,
4. Shoves a Gatorade cup down a cadets PT shirt.

What should I do? I am really just getting ticked off more and more about this.

#1 and #4 deserve a sit down with the unit commander PDQ and possible punishments. #2 and #3 require one on one drill instruction from someone with a 10,000 PSI stare so he stops disrupting instruction for the rest of the flight.

Step one, quit coming here for advice about your personal squadron's problems and chain of command. There is nothing that we can do about it here, all that will happen from you complaining here will do is; one, get you banned from CAPTalk, two get yourself kicked out of your squadron.

Step two, let someone in your chain of command know that there is an issue with one of the cadets, remember to be professional and tactful when doing it. Remember to use your chain of command and let your element leader first unless it is your element leader.

You can't get banned for that, thats stupid. And I guess letting a 12 year old drive a truck would be a squadron issue aswell. Oh well. :o

Speak to the cadet (if you are the DCOC). If there is no corrective action, maybe conduct a review board between the Commander, DCOC, and the Cadets parent(s). If still no further correction, and as sad as this is, termination of membership.

So when it comes down to it, Chain of Commander.

Who died and made you Admin?  Maybe you should leave talk of banning people to the people who can actually ban people?
