Ah yes, the wonderful work of Demand Media and their freelance writers ;D.

I'm sending to my DOV...we need this curriculum added to our C182 CAPF5 process immediately!

I mean, I never knew to release the landing gear a few feet above the runway.  On other planes I was taught to land on the gear...

Also, I learned that I needed to be going 120 kts (80 mph) in order to take off...

...and just incase you need to add something to the airplane, here's how:

Cool, just add a new TIO-540-AK1A with Turbo.  Maybe I can do the same with my IO-540-K1A5?  Not!!

That is either one of the funniest or most terrifying things I have ever read on the internet. I haven't decided which yet.

How to Fly a Cessna 182

That scares the crap out of me. I can already hear someone saying "Flying can't be that hard. There's instructions on "ehow.com"!"

I love this: "Spin the wheel to the left at a 45-degree angle once you're in the air to turn away from the runaway. Use the elevator, which is plane's gear shift, and throttle controls to control speed and airplane altitude".  I'm aware of some planes with geared engines, but I didn't know you had to move the elevator to shift gears...  Thanks ehow!
