. . i am the proud new owner of one of bob's 3 el 2 meter beams, and am awaiting a 121.5 model.
. . it uses screws to fasten the matching elements to the insulated boom assembly. i found some washers in the metric bin at the hardware store that were about 5/8 inch across, that squeezed down into the screwdriver slot quite tightly. i am able to use these as wing nuts and get loose from the screwdriver.
. . yes i know that there is a teensy amount of capacitance involved with this arrangement, and one of these days i may check and see if it changes the performance any.
. . i'll post a pic in another ten years or so, when i get to 100 posts.
