Hello I am trying to send in a CAPF 31 for Search and Rescue School but I have a question. On the form there is a slot that says CAPSN ..... At first I thought that slot was for my CAPID but it is not because on the other page there is a CAPID slot. So can anybody tell me what CAPSN means?

CAPSN is the older terminology for CAP Serial Number, which is the same as your CAPID. When (or sometime shortly after...) they changed the unique identifier for CAP members from using your Social Security Number to a NHQ-generated number, they also changed the nomenclature from CAPSN to CAPID.

Whenever you see this, typically on forms which haven't been updated in a while, just put your CAPID.

I didn't see a CAPID field anywhere in that form, only the CAPSN field. Where did you see a separate CAPID field? I may be a little tired this morning...
