Hi,

I know DC Wing and NHQ have EOCs but are there any more out there? What do you normally use as your EOC in an incident if you don't have a pre-built facility? I imagine a lot of units probably use a county EM or ESDA office but do our wings have access to the state EOCs?

AKWG sends liaisons to the State Emergency Coordination Center, and uses a conference room in their HQ as a command post. There's also some work being done to identify a few good COOP sites around the state if the HQ building fails for whatever reason.

PAWG has an EOC and a backup EOC.  Additionally liasons are sent to the State EOC, usually they are ICs in qualification.

From my experience, CA dosen't even allow CAP into the parking lot.  Of course, most searches are the responsibility of the local Sheriff, so only the local EOC would play.  In my rural small county, the EOC is two or three chairs at a conference table in the Sheriff's office.
