How would you attach a sleeping bag and tent to this???

Just wondering as it doesn't look like it would be big enough to fit inside.

I have the coyote tan version of that one. While I haven't done so yet, there are MOLLE loops on the bottom so you can attach either your sleeping bag or tent to it. I'm not sure how you would fit both though to be honest.

If the tent and bag are both small enough, attach the tent toward the front, and the bag behing. The bag is usually round enough to allow space for the tent in the corner gap.

Hear Hear! (sarcastically) I once fixed the main rotor blade of my Blackhawk with 100mph tape. One day one of the blades just sheered off and I thought hmmmm, I am sure glad I brought this tape with me.

You just have to do what you can with what you got. I don't think that bag is quite big enough for a 72 hr pack. I had one in Iraq and it did very well for day missions and two day missions, but in the Army a two day mission means no sleeping bags, just a bunch of beans and bullets.

I bought the OD version of that one just recently. What I do is thread the straps on the MOLLE Sleep System Carrier through the loops on the bottom (took some work, as the straps are twice as wide as the loops), store my tent in the bottom of the pack via Space Bag, and tie the tent poles to the MOLLE webbing on the outside. It takes some practice, but I've managed to fit four days worth of supplies and my 24 hour gear in this thing, with the exception of the pouches on my pistol belt. (And '72 Chevy Longbed

Mine is basically a 2 day pack as well. Out here in CAWG the chances of us doing a 3 day mission are next to nothing and a 2 day mission is still fairly rare. I have enough food to get me through 3 days, but I don't carry a tent. I have a tarp and stuff to keep myself comfortable enough if we do end up staying out that full 3 days.

What do you think about this??? Would it be appropriate for ES missions or FTXs? What would you recommend that would fit both a tent, and a sleeping bag?

I have had bad experiences with those kinds of packs before, they are very tall and get snagged while walking through anything thick. It would carry quite a bit even a tent and sleeping bag though.

The only other thing I can recommend is the MOLLE ruck. It is big enough to either attach a tent or pack a tent inside of. It also has a separate large bag for a sleeping bag. If your sleeping bag and tent are small enough, the sleeping bag bag is big enough to hold both.

I used this sleeping bag my last trip over the pond and as far as packing goes it is the best one that I have used. It compresses into the size of a soft ball. I would not use it in anything colder than 30 degrees

Yes, i have seen numerous sleeping bags that compress rather small. Neat though, I just dont have the extra $$ to replace the sleeping bag that I have.
