I'm looking for a good map case for ground team leader gear.  Can't seem to find one that I think is big enough.  If anyone has one they might want to part with, please let me know.  Any suggestions for a source would be appreciated too.

An eBay search using "map case" got 817 results.

Some may think it's a tad pricey for a map case, but it works great.

If you hit U.S. Cav online you can get some really good map cases. I use a rather small case that I just fold my maps up into.

Everything this company makes is great stuff.  I have the "rolled map case- woodland", purchased at NESA many moons ago.  Still ticking along.

EDIT: Apparently the woodland version is no longer available. Very sad.

Do you mean this one? Foliage Green

No, I have a woodland one bought at the Atterbury BX around '03.

Honestly, today I would want an orange one. Then I needed stuff that was easy to lose.

Use a pencil?

(Anyone hear the story about how NASA spent a million dollars to develop pens that worked in space, and the Soviets just used pencils? I'd like a zero-G pen or maybe that admittedly very cool map case, but, for now, I'm using a pencil.)

It is an urban legend.

The Fischer Space pen was not funded by NASA.

Using a pencil will ruin the map, and be difficult to see in low light.  The idea of a map cases is to allow you to mark it up in different colors and use it again.

Laminate your maps if you can't find a good map case. I cut my maps into six pieces and separate them by about a quarter inch so that they will fold easily and fit into a smaller space much easier. Separating the map into six pieces keeps the map from crinkling inside the laminate, if you only separate the pieces of the map in the laminate by a quarter inch it is still easy to read without having issues of a large space in between the sections of the map.
