After a legthy break from CAP (15 years) I have found my way back home. I have been reading thru the posts here to get caught up on what can and cant be worn. My guess is that most will remain in mothballs but I figured I'd run a few by the uniform gurus on here for your opinions. There are a few that I cant find, and some I wont find.
1. NEAT Patch - Was worn on the front left pocket of fatigue/bdu shirts. I assume if still good to go, they would not move location
2. Regional SAR Comp Patches - Were worn on right sleeve of fatigue/bdu shirts. Would they now move to front left pocket like everything else?
3. Mass Wing Ranger Patch - Were worn on right sleeve of fatigue/bdu shirts. Would they now move to front left pocket like everything else?
4. After reading 18+ pages on Hawk, I wont ask ;)
5. Pathfinder - Patch was worn on lower right pocket or fatigue/bdu shirt. I assume if still good to go, they would not move location. I was a staff member there and had the instructor tab, badge, and the cord for blues. Any of that still authorized?

Finally, as tactfully as possible....Should I still wear any of these items along with any of my Army/Air Force Badges on my BDU's? I always tried to limit the bling when I was a cadet and like a clean uniform but it seems like in CAP these "scare badges" carry alot of clout.

Other than HMRS & NEAT insignia, nothing else on your list is currently approved for wear.

Check CAPM 39-1 to see what USAF badges may be worn. The only US Army badges (and I could be wrong) authorized are Parachutist/Airborne (not HALO) and aviator/aircrew. Again, refer to CAPM 39-1 to verify.

The NEAT patch is still in CAPM 39-1 Figure 6-19.  For the military badges authorized see Table 6-5. and note requirements specific to the different uniforms in the relevant tables.

The Military Freefall badge (formerly known as "HALO") is authorized for wear by virtue of the fact that it is authorized on Air Force uniforms. The authorization for wear (for the Air Force) is in AFI 11-402, Table 9.2, Lines 4 and 5.

Other authorized Army badges (as shown in CAPM 39-1, Table 6-5) include Combat Infantry/Medical, Pathfinder, Air Assault, Rigger, and Scuba. Army Aviation badges fall under "US Military Aeronautical Badges."

I have seen the Mass Wing Ranger Patch worn once, but since it's a Wing specific patch it would probably be unwise to wear it outside of that wing.

MFF wings are most certainly authorized.  They are considered aeronautical badges.

He is probably not referring to the U.S. Army Pathfinder badge but one of the various wing Pathfinder programs. Missouri had one for a while. Basically, a ground team training program.

I was talking about the CAP Pathfinder program. I tried to get a slot at US Army Pathfinder School for 8 years to no avail. I did get alot of other cool courses so I guess I cant complain much (I still will though) ;)

The Missouri Wing Pathfinder School was training for the realities of
SAR in Missouri.  This course was pre-NESA and everything else we
have today.  It was a very well run school and I learned a lot from the
instructors.  We had the old pink ES cards.  Good times were had by
all.  I received my first real find ribbon when my ground team searched
for an ELT in the Springfield, MO area all night.  It happened to be
something malfunctioning(not an aircraft) at the Springfield Airport. :) ;) :D

What year was that? I got a find at Pathfinder as well, at some tiny little airport in the middle of the night (maybe Springfield?) I went in 92 and 93.
