By the way... After Burners (AB's) are not allowed by the AMA in the US on remote controlled aircraft.

In the above video, those are not real AB's. Those are LED's made to give the look of AB's

So don't anyone get any not so bright ideas.

That was 2 different models in one video. Incidentally, parts of the video were slowed down for effect. It looks VERY different in real time.

I have a jet in my hanger awaiting a turbine once I find the money. However, it may get sold for a better project.

Still sweet, just did not want people fooled.

Incidentally, those models that have AB's are very impracticable. The AB burns most of the fuel needed for flight so it makes the flight very short. Most want longer flight times over the short cool factor, weight increase, and potential for a fireball.

The second video (the only one my PC lets me watch) has a comment by the poster that says the AB is just a ring of LED lights. So, much safer, more practical, and wicked cool looking.

If something with that kind of pricetag was in my possession, I would not be giving it more fireball potential...

There's a couple company making the equivalent of an afterburner engine, and no apparent regs in the US against it - if you're not interested in AMA affiliation, then there doesn't seem to be anything stopping you.

Be careful about flying a flame thrower, though!

I bet you are looking at $15-$20,000 to build one of these.  I found the jet engines on-line for $5,200 then you need 2!!!
