For argument's sake, why would ES quals be a secret or "need to know"?

I'd have no issue letting anyone check me out for that kind of info.

They are not....per se....I can look up anyone's qualifications in E-services right now.

But I can't get a list of all the GTLs in NVWG in E-services....I can get all the GTLs in my squadron.

Have you tried contacting wing and having them provide you with the roster? Ahead of time I mean. Here in INWG we have to provide an ES roster to wing once a year or anytime we have a major status change like gaining a GTL. That is then provided back down to the people that need it.

Lordmanor - I don't know your ES quals but I would think that if you're an IC you should have that capability now. Before I became a WSA I found myself informing people when I couldn't access certain information that I don't have the access to that information and that I cannot help you. As I stated, e-services is very restricted.

If someone isn't involved in ES they have no need for that information. ES people typically don't have access to cadet promotions anymore than CP personnel have access to ES-related information or any information not within their area of responsibility. If they need it they can check with the ES officer or the unit commander. Those restricted applications are restricted for a reason - the information is restricted.

I'm a GBD and AOBD trainnee.

Why should I have to call wing to send me a roster when there is an up to date one in WMU that gives me names, rateings and phone numbers....exactly what I need when I am trying to put together crews?

I also don't understand the reason why you would have to provide a list to wing every year when they can pull the list up anytime they want to.

That is the old school way of doing thing when everything was paper.

Bottom line.....WMU has the information that I need as a GBD/AOBD.....I am going to continue to use it until it is no longer accurate or I have access to the same information from E-services.

By the way, thanks to those who suggested I use All Quals with Data. That worked fine when compared to a squadron roster.

Because they told me to.

I think the reason is because you may have a GTL but he might not have a team. I know that's the case for me. I do not show up on any alert roster because I currently do not have anything to bring to the table without three more GTMs.

I think eServices should have those reports.

If you are an IC, you can view reports in Ops Quals by any single qual for any single unit or everyone in your wing.  You can also run an All Qual report for single units or the entire wing that lists every member with an ES qualification.  There is also one at the bottom of the list that lets you define the query fields.  If you are helping to staff a mission, your IC should be able to provide you with any or all of this info by email with a few clicks of the mouse.

Hence the utility of the WMU qual list.  I don't need to worry about if you have a team or if you were reported up to wing....I don't even need wing.  I pull up the list for GTLs and start calling.

Or use the WMU and do it myself.  ;)

In WMU, I can get a list of all the Cadet O'ride Pilots, the list of State Director Approved Pilots and what they are approved to do (based on current quals), and their phone numbers.  If I had the right permissions, I could do that in e-services ops quals, but I would not have the State Director Approved Pilots list.
