It;s a standard E-tool with a few extra advantages. I can appreciate the addition of the tightning tooland the wire cutters. I wouldn't use it for cutting vegetables. Even the bottle opener is useless, americans use screw off lids on their drinks.

I wonder how much bloodletting occurred when these guys were handling the shovel blade by the sharpened edges, w/o gloves. And speaking of the sharp parts, i wonder how long they actually stay sharp after all the abuse in the dirt.

And it even comes in orange for us CAP folks!

I saw this the other day and I too wasted about 5 minutes of my life. (the video only needed to be about 3 or 4 minutes long) I did get a kick out of the guy using them as oars though.

You can sharpen the scalloped edges more on a USGI entrenching tool and use it for chopping wood, wire.  The scalloped long edge on the USGI entrenching tool can be used as a saw, but is somewhat limited  because it doesn't have "set " (offset from one tooth to another).  You can set and somewhat pound tent stakes with a GI entrenching tool, try to hit on the curved face near the tightening nut.  Don't hit with the tightening nut.  If you see the all the square corners on the pivot between the handle and shovel blade it will start to crack there.

What a tool, it was interesting to see the many engineered tools designed into it.

But the video was a bit long, I liked the food prep part.
