Hey, does anyone have any information regarding the academy? I've tried the POC and the website but I still haven't received a reply nor any more information.

This is the web site I've been using.

I have, at least, four cadets wishing to attend this year.

Yep well its had the tentative dates for a long time now and it starts on a Sunday and ends on a Wednesday/Thursday? And the cost is still $TBA. And the application deadline is TBA. And I don't think its been updated for a few months now.

Anyone know the cost from last year?

IIRC, it was $140.00.  My cadets that went told me that the NCO academy only had a handful of participants as did the RCLS, with the encampment having about 50 attendees.

I heard that it was a fun event and worth the price of admission though.

Yep well I've finally been contacted by the poc about the event. Mind if you ask one of your cadets how long it is? I'm not sure why, but a week and a half seems a bit longer then the normal encampment...

Last year, it was a Sunday to a Sunday, IIRC.  It was sooo long ago now my Alzheimers is kicking in.  It could very well be 1.5 weeks though...

Ah so I sent my application in and its been accepted for the RCLS. Now the question is, what should I expect?

There really isn't that much that guides what RCLS should do, CAPR 52-16 barely mentions it:
Quote4-7. Region Cadet Leadership Schools. The Region Cadet Leadership Schools (RCLS) provide training to increase knowledge, skills, and attitudes as they pertain to leadership and management. To be eligible to attend, cadets must be serving in, or preparing to enter, cadet leadership positions within their squadron. RCLS's are conducted at region level, or at wing level with region approval. For more information, including curriculum guidance, see www.cap.gov/cadets.
And the same goes for the national site too. I hope this isn't going to be dryer then a sun-dried lizard....

"Dryer than a sun-dried lizard! I'm going to use that! ;D

I've sent cadets there for a couple of years.  Is an awesome activity.  I've never had any complaints from my cadets.  I think you'll enjoy it.

Makes me wish I was a cadet again, lol.
