After 11 agonizing months that I thought would never end, it's over!!  I have my Bachelor of Science in Nursing! For nearly a year I have had no life, no fun, and minimal contact with friends and family.  I plan to take boards in late January to add RN to the sig, but I have finally emerged from the abyss.

So hello again!  What have I missed?

Congratulations Sir!!!  I work as a hospital chaplain and have nothing put respect and admiration for those in the nursing profession.  I hope you have a long and meaningful career.  Blessings to you.

Congratulations: now you won't have any time to do anything because you are working your a--- off at the hospital.  I am married to an RN, my sister is an RN and my nephews wife is an RN, so I have a little experience with nurses in the family.

A great profession and one that doesn't get the credit that it deserves.

I have nothing but admiration for nurses: especially in the three major surgeries that I have had.

Thanks everybody! I'm looking forward to getting to work as soon as I pass boards.  For now, I'm looking for an entry level ICU position. I know they exist. I just need to find one.

I applied to every open ICU position in Baton Rouge and New Orleans; however, none of them were accepting new grads.  Right now I'm eyeing a neuro ICU job at LSUS and a general ICU job in Omaha.

I'm still waiting to hear back on that SHV job.  That's a whole lot better than trying to clear off the desk from OMA.   ;D
