What does the CAP Anthem sound like?  What is the significance of "CAP is on the Go,"

I was wondering if anyone has scans any CAP Specific sheet music, I need them for a musical project I am putting together.

I've got a .wav of "The CAP is on the go" if you need it, but no sheet music.  IMHO, the song was probably ok in the 40's, but it makes my ears bleed...

An instrumental version of it played by a brass band would be most appropriate for the project I'm working on.

This one is acapella (sp?) IIRC

I've heard it thus, but I have also seen sheet music on e-bay for it and a CAP March.   If I could find it I might be able to arrange it out for a sextet or octet.

Maj Carrales,

Check your e-mail in a few minutes, I sent you both the instrumental and lyrical versions of "CAP is on the Go" in .mp3 format.  The e-mail is ~4Mb.

Thanks, I hope that I will not have to use my meager skills to arrange it from these.  These will, however, be help full.

IMHO "Cap is on the go" is **extremely** dated: it was really "swell" back back when swing was in, but I played it for some cadets, and got belwildered looks from them.

The same could be said of the most Church music, the Air Force and Marines Hymn and the National Anthem, traditional music seems to be "old" by nature.   :P  ...the point is that I am looking for the sheet music.

Are we expected to stand during the CAP anthem, like USMC does for their hymn? Turn and face Maxwell Alabama?

Major Lord
"The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the iniquities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he, who in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who would attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon thee."

This is a good question?  The CAP March...

"Civil Air Patrol March Song"

The C.A.P. The auxiliary of the United States Air Force
We fly our planes O'er land and Sea
What ere the mission be
Our men are proud their standards high
Sing praises to the sky
United we stand
For this great land.
We're the Civil Air Patrol.

Our flying men stand ever true to uphold our honor too,
When duty calls us we are ready.
We fly into the blue.
And when our mission's work is done
We know that we have won.
We have spread our fame preserved our name forever
In the Civil Air Patrol.

Our boys and girls are in there too
So courageous, strong and true.
Our chaplains guide them and we train them
as part of our fighting crew.
And if the Air Force calls them in
They'll qualify as men.
They have had the finest training we could give them
In the Civil Air Patrol.

When danger's near
(When danger's near)
We have no fear
(We have no fear We have no fear We have no fear)
The Air Force calls
(The Air Force calls The Air Force calls The Air Force calls)
We give our all!
(We give our all!)

WIWAC we played the CAP  official song at each retreat ceremony just before the National Anthem.  Didn't know it had words.  It sounded like just about any other Sousa-like march.
