Not feasible both due to responsibilities here and the unreliable flight schedules, weather, and available space. 

I'll just wait for the online course or to get home, I guess.  Not like I can be promoted out here... 

Ok, then call Air University (ADLS, I think) and request an extension due to military deployment.  You can test as soon as you get home.  DO NOT just let the expiration date pass.  You'll have to go through the whole re-enroll process.

You should be able to call them DSN.  They even process extensions online.
