I further read it and stand somewhat corrected.

Even with that... the exercises moves on and should move on.  There are TOO many local commanders with Napolean type attitudes that get in the way.  They just did not get their chance to be  RM and then run rough shod on an exercise.

But every one seems to talk respect on this forum.  Then it's time for DNall to have a heart to heart sit down with those players whether he likes it or not.  To blow off here like that about folks here and being PO'd shows a lack of tact toward others.  Work with guy OR TRY to find a way. The Army taught me how to do that... lookat the mission not always the  people.

If it's too much for him, maybe he has to look at  another approach.................

I don't want to go back into the op that wasn't. That isn't why we shut down. That was just about turn-key and planned to military standards. The op not happening is a major disappointment, because it had nothing to do with the op & everything to do with pettiness in CAP.

I did talk to the local Sq/CC. I introduced myself as an Army officer, XO of this unit on the base, this is the op we're joint planning with CAP, and I understand you have some concerns that I'd like to try to answer for you. I don't know if the guy knew I was also a CAP member or not, but I got cussed at and hung up on. Can you imagine if I wasn't a CAP member? If that were military personnel, you know the world of hurt they would be in right now and for a long time to come? You know what any other non-CAP affiliated officer would do to this guy and/or CAP because of something like that? That could have been VERY VERY VERY bad.

As far as the op, I can reset for Feb or pushing it maybe March, and that's it. I'm gone to Rucker after that. If I don't plug CAP into a relationship with this unit/facility/opportunity, then they are never going to be able to access it without me. My boss was willing to support me, not CAP. If I plug them in & develop a relationship, then it can happen without me around. It's bigger than that too. There's stuff on the state level and with CG that we've been pushing from the inside. I'm really wanting to set CAP up for success and then plug the right people into that network so they can carry on when I leave. It's frustrating when you see them shooting themselves in the foot for petty reasons & they don't even know they're doing it. There's only so much I can do. They have to meet me part of the way. I'm not angry about that, but I am disappointed.
