That's a darned good letter!

We either have:

1.  One very smart general, or

2.  One general with a very smart PAO who writes the letters.

Another former CAP officer

Having recently had the opportunity to meet and talk with her in person, I can confirm that we indeed have one very smart general who also is an effective leader with a clear vision of where this organization needs to go and how to get it there. We're fortunate to have someone of her caliber at the head of CAP.

DesrtFlyer, I've been really hoping someone would say that.  Our org needs a real leader to get us out of the wilderness.

I hope that the news I heard about her being investigated for travel expenses is just that.. rumor...

I saw some drek on a moribund unofficial CAP email list in which "CAP Insights" was ranting about some ultimatum he's put upon NHQ in re: the content of such rumors.

Happy Birthday CAP!!!

Thanks everyone for your service to this country.  I'd love to know how many veterans are still around from the original formation.  CAPHistorian?

What's funny is his own email list is moderated. Any discontent regarding his blog or posts are blocked and the hate mail begins. What do you expect from a wannabe prison snitch anyway? Always looking to drop the dime on someone else to deflect the criticism on his own actions.
"And Saint Attila raised the Holy Hand Grenade up on high saying, "Oh Lord, Bless us this Holy Hand Grenade, and with it smash our enemies to tiny bits. And the Lord did grin, and the people did feast upon the lambs, and stoats, and orangutans, and breakfast cereals, and lima bean-"

" Skip a bit, brother."

"And then the Lord spake, saying: "First, shalt thou take out the holy pin. Then shalt thou count to three. No more, no less. "Three" shall be the number of the counting, and the number of the counting shall be three. "Four" shalt thou not count, and neither count thou two, execpting that thou then goest on to three. Five is RIGHT OUT. Once the number three, being the third number be reached, then lobbest thou thy Holy Hand Grenade to-wards thy foe, who, being naughty in my sight, shall snuffit. Amen."

He's at it again... something about offering to pay NHQ's legal fees should they sue him blah blah woof woof...

I tend to think Gen. Courter is a smart, capable leader and an effective communicator, based on my impressions after meeting her and being in the same room with her at a Florida Wing conference. So I'm not surprised at the anniversary letter.

But I'll say this -- I've never seen a previous national commander put a letter like that out before. It was a class act.

Good letter and we all deserve to be proud but once again AE gets barely a mention.  Are we sure this is still one of our missions?  :-\
