Yeah i understand.  A friend (isuhawkeye) tells me that I will be excited until I see my first paycheck........

ON the 2a though..... I already am starting to look like the mexican general......I will fill it out so I have it on my Officer record, but I have to lose my Pilot wings or my GTL badge to make room for it.

I guess I could go below to the flap of the pocket......Nah.

isuhawkeye

I new you could do it.

Congrats...
I would have posted sooner, but I just worked what seems like 100 days at the station.

I don't know how things are where you're at, but in my neck of the woods I's are next to worthless. All the services (even the vollies) are ALS.
True, some have a BLS unit for discharges or routine tansfers but ILS?... forget it.
- Might be due to the fact that in IL an Intermediate is just 3 or 4 drugs short of being a full blown Paragod. The classes run the same length of time and everything.

YMMV

Viva la NARCAN!

and remember kiddies...

a 90 year old female stroke patient will be twice as strong as you, have the temperment of a pregnant badger with inflammed hemmeroids and will take your eyeballs as a personal affront and do her level best to gouge them out with her fingers.

This week i replaced the hand sanitizer with D50 :)

In Iowa (land of the messed up EMS) we have the EMT-I(85) which is nothing more than IV's ( I think), there is teh EMT-I(99) which is the Iowa Paramedic.

Then there is the EMT-P which is the Paramedic Specialist.

I(85) is 50-60 hours
I(99) is more than that
PS is 1200 hours.

I believe that the IV skill is good to have, thats why i want it.  I am also signing up for PHTLS in october.
