Gen. Pineda was elected by the National Board in St. Louis as the new CAP National Commander (meaning he is no longer acting) and subsequently promoted him to Maj. Gen.

Col. Glasgow was elected as the National Vice Commander, and also received his star making him Brig. Gen. Glasgow.

The National Squadron of Distinction is:  Deer Valley Composite Squadron, AZ Wing.

National Cadet of the Year:  C/Col Michael L. Parker, AR Wing.

The Region Squadron's of Distinction Are:
SWR/AZWG -- Deer Valley Comp. Sq.
NER/NJWG -- Walter Schirra Jr. Comp. Sq.
MER/VAWG -- Fredericksburg Comp. Sq.
GLR/OHWG -- Youngstown Air Reserve Sq.
SER/GAWG -- Peachtree City-Falcon Field Comp. Sq.
NCR/IAWG -- East Iowa Cadet Sq.
RMR/WYWG -- Cheyenne Comp Sq.
PCR/CAWG -- Travis Comp. Sq.

All of this was shamelessly lifted from the CadetStuff thread on the National Boards.

Congratulations to C/Col. Parker, I served with him on ARWG CAC and he was my Cadet Commander at the 2004 ARWG encampment. He is an outstanding cadet and wonderful leader, he deserves this.
