Conference Highlights / Suggestions

Try and have required courses offered.   SLS, CLC, UCC.  Someway people can spend 3 days accomplishing required tasks.  I can VERY rarely, if ever get 3 days off.  What better way than to be able to attend a conference, get credit for the conference, and complete a course.

^I can see your point in this, but I look for a conference to be beyond the ordinary things. I go to attend interesting seminars and learn things I typically wouldn't have access to, not check off the necessary PD tasks that can be handled at another time..

Just MHO, YMMV.

Nothing says you have to go to the courses, but at least offer it for others.

Offer position specific training, i.e. Logistics, Admin, etc.

CAWG does that every year. They have tracks to group related jobs - DA/DP/Finance, CP, ES, AE, Comm, and others, depending on demand and speaker availability.
