So they are a uniform and there is a prescribed way to wear it.

But are they "Traditional"?  ;D

That depends entirely on your frame of reference, hence Nin's prior response. Personally, my idea of a "traditional" uniform is the Shade 1 khaki uniform from the 1960s. YMMV.
