Interesting email to CAP Parents. Interesting that as a CAP Officer, I did not receive this, but it went out to all the cadets and parents (separate e-mail accounts). If I didn't know anything about this, it would be difficult to answer questions. Considering most units that participate in Wreaths across America are already fundraising pretty hard, another $75.00 on top of that....wow. I don't know, it seems a little tone deaf to do this and at the END of the 75th year. Maybe this was waiting for the new 60-1 too. Oh that was a little snarky...sorry. Anyways, if you haven't seen this yet, here it is:

Stand by, yours is coming. I just got mine in the last hour.

You are correct that the CAP founding year was 1941, and thus its 75-year anniversary was in 2016.

Any requirements for Squadrons to report how they spend this big influx?

Don't go taking any Caribbean vacations with the squadron credit card, or buying a car. Other than the obvious like you state ... Virtually nothing in that doc that dictates how a Squadron can spend its money. Scholarships for Cadets, uniforms, training gear, etc., etc. I'm assuming can be decided on locally. How big an item has to be run up a chain first? If a Squadron got a $4k donation and wanted to build up a nice simulator for Cadets, for example, can they 'just do it' or would that have to go up through channels?
