Some very young Cadets may require child-sized ABUs. This is the best price I could find and 10% of if you sign up for their ads

One cannot tell from the picture as to whether or not the ABU pattern is exactly the same as regulation.

I have no connection with this vendor and have not personally seen these kids' ABUs.

Interesting... thanks for posting.

Devils advocate:
Obviously, that ball cap hat wouldn't work. I hope they've done a quality job on the rest; we've disallowed most of the cheaply and poorly made Chinese "kids' BDUs" available, with their nonstandard externally buttoned pockets, the cheap fraying seams and the poor fit. Better to have smaller cadets take small issue uniforms and cut them down.

Positive, glass half full:
That was then (kids BDUs), and this is a new product. We might order a set to evaluate, since hope springs eternal. You may have found a good source here; thanks again.

Here's the wholesaler. http://trooperclothing.com/?post_type=product&s=air+force

I hope that helps.

Isn't there a five year transition period? Keep the smallest Cadets in BDUs until they grown into ABU sizes.

Not exactly a glut of tiny BDUs out there in the first place. If one is spending the money to get custom uniforms, there is zero reason to get the old ones.

They look closer to a real thing than the BDUs with pocket flap buttons.

Likelihood of Civil Air Patrol tape fitting: Pretty Low.

But just think: the likelihood on the name tags fitting correctly is higher

Could be worse. We could be using the U.S. CIVIL AIR PATROL tapes! >:D

My son joined CAP last month. Is been a problem finding the ABU for him. He is 5' 1" and skinny...

There's no reason he can't wear the BDU, which is more readily available.

You should also check ebay, I have seen a lot on their lately.
