I have no idea what the above is all about? Will need to do some research.

There is a CAPTalk group already established. After you register, log in, and find group number 73065. That's there we will be competing with/motivating/cajoling/trash talking each other into fitness.

No no no, I got all of THOSE steps. I just figured we'd have a monthly/quarterly/annual thread on here to be visible, vs behind a wall in the Pres.Challange system.

We can absolutely keep up the communication here as well.  And it will be good visability to attract more members.

Absolutely. Weekly progress updates, or if you have some recipes or tips to share more frequent posts.

I'm already 40.17% of the way to my Bronze medal. Ironically, I had already started on this program on 26 MAY.  :D

I'm about 4% to my bronze.  I need to get my rear in gear!

I upload FitBit data daily. I'm averaging 16k to 20k steps per day.

I use my fitbit every day and am about to hit my 1600 mile marker.  But I have not uploaded any data to the Presidentís Challenge since 2014.  And I don't want to back date any data even if it is all recorded on my Fitbit profile.

You can only upload 8 weeks worth of data anyway. Congratulations on closing in on that 1600 mile badge. I'm about 100 miles from the 930 badge.

Ok, I'm in the group...now what? Doesn't work with Microsoft Band, or MFP.

It's all self reporting.  Just enter your daily activity after chosing one of the two challenges.

That's the one! I'm proud of myself since I just got the Italy badge (736 miles) on 05/21. I've remained disciplined and managed to lose 11 lbs since 01/16.

It makes a huge difference.  I make a point to try to hit my 10,000 steps a day which ends up being around 5 miles.  Now, when the weather is bad and I don't get my walks in I can definitely feel the difference.

FWIW, I've found my Fitbit can be somewhat inconsistent when running on a treadmill.  Sometimes my 10k step alarms at mile 5ish, and sometimes not till mile 6ish.  Of course I try to concentrate on overall fitness and not get too hung up on numbers.

At least I try.   8)

\\All of the trackers are "close enough" in terms of steps. For running, there are specific models/brands that focus on accuracy, but treadmills are hard to work with.
