The sad thing is that pilots who go to the airlines receive all of this training when they are hired.  Now, that student just has to pay for it themselves.... and will no doubt receive it AGAIN when they get hired onto an airline.  This requirement did nothing to prevent the accidents it was created to avoid.

No, Rob, it won't prevent accidents, but it will please Congressmen and lawyers: neither of which know much about flying.
