He's also in shape, height / weight proportional. makes a huge difference in how anything looks on a man or woman. Sharp button down, looks nicer then the polo's.

IIRC, he's an RAF pilot. Wing Commander Green, actually..

Lieutenant Colonel equivalent...even though Wing Commanders now command flying Squadrons and Squadron Leaders command Flights within those units.

S/L's command non-flying units though, like in the RAF Regiment.

Flying Squadron Commanders in the USAF are normally Lieutenant Colonels. So the RAF is basically doing what we do.
