Or at least they will if the weather people have any control over the situation.

Right now it's...raining.  It does that sometimes.  Only time will tell if it was worth me pulling down the Sunsetter for this.

OEMC is as worried about Blackhawks revelers in the wake of a win tonight as they are about the storm.
Personally, my major concern is the 1/4 steer I just bought from our LRADO that's sitting in a new freezer -
generator is waiting should it be needed.

Question - what are the little bulby things?  Are those wind gusts or temperatures?  They aren't on the legends.

Wow!  :o :o :o

Live and learn...

I lived in Puerto Rico since birth for 29 years...

Was a volunteer for the State and local Civil Defenses...

Was active when hurricanes David and Federico, and others soaked the island causing extensive flooding...

Almost got knocked off a fire truck into a flooded street during one...

After moving to the states in 1984 have been active in CAP for 12 years...

...and never once did I hear about the "Derecho."

Interesting article.  ???

Thanks for posting, and hope it does not affect you.

Right now it's been a lot of dark skies, intermittent moderate rain, and television crawls.

Looks like, as usual, INWG is going to eat more "uck" then we will because of the lake.

We've been getting some warnings of bad weather tonight in my AOR of MIWG as well. I'm on the west side, so I get plenty of lake effect weather too.

Looks like the had a couple tornadoes reports around Lock & Dam #1 on the Mississippi River - we've taken a >LOT< of photos of that
thing in the last year or so.

A bunch around and West of Hampton IA, and at least one SW of Lacrosse.

Still unremarkable West of ORD.

Kinda exciting in my AOR. Funnel clouds, severe storms, large hail...the usual.

Came and went, not even remarkable from a rain perspective.

On May 8, 2009, we had what we called an "Inland Hurricane" here in So. Illinois. They call it a "derecho" now I guess. My camp sent 5 work crews a day to Herrin and Crainville/Carterville for nearly two months. Two months of 12 hour days will get to you after a while. I don't mind them crying wolf every once in a while. It's a lot more fun than the real thing.
