I'm wondering where I should send my form 2A (personnel actions) if it's for a ribbon. Specifically for the Encampment ribbon. Any help will be appreciated.

Fill it out, give it to your unit personnel officer and (s)he will process it up the chain for approval.

When did you complete the encampment? If it was recently, it should be in Eservices.

I completed encampment in the NJ wing back in July. I have my squadron commander's signature and he doesnt know where to send it either. I'm thinking wing HQ

To my mind, you don't even need to send it up any further than your commander. If he signed it, put it in your personnel file and get a ribbon. If the encampment paper-pusher did their job right, it should be as Extremeprejudice said, in e-services.

Some would even argue that the existence of the encampment attendance being in e-services negates the need for a Form 2A.

And some would argue that it doesn't, even though it should.

Is it recorded in eServices?

Then the participation has already been approved at the wing level, wear the ribbon and move on.  2a not required.

Well thanks for your help everyone. I'm just trying to do this by the book. Yes I do have official encampment credit on Eservices.

Then go get yourself an encampment ribbon!

Nothing more is required.

Yeah.

Nothing worse than meeting the Wing or Encampment CC with an upside-down Encampment Ribbon. I wish they had a "bottom" and "up" written there. I used to have a real hard problem with the Membership Ribbon. Not anymore, I have two clasps. Now I go "one point goes up." And the same with my Unit Citation. Now that I have a Silver Clasp, I do not wear it upside down... :P

I had the same problem with my unit citation ribbon. And my Air SAR ribbon and my Find ribbon.

My wing used to require that you wear it upside down until you come back the next year as staff.

For those of who attended our first encampment prior to 1985, my warning has much more meaning.

The olde encampment ribbon:

The olde encampment ribbon:

Odd that I don't remember that. I do remember that prior to...1982? all our ribbons had planes or some other design on them. I even had a set of plastic ribbons.

All that stuff went away for the cadets in 1985. The SM ribbons changed earlier, in 1982.
