Does a database/list of prior encampments exist (specifically OH wing)

Probably a strange question, but just wondering if anyone knows if there is some sort of a list anywhere of dates/locations of previous encampments that have been held?  My two cadets are nervous about attending encampment and are wondering how old I was when I did my cadet encampment.  In my "old age", I'm finding it difficult to recall exactly how old I was when I went.   ::)

I know that at the time, the OH wing encampment rotated between a few sites.  I've got it narrowed to a few years, so I'm hoping that I can isolate the exact year based on the location.

Thanks,

Mike

i was 13 when i attended my first winter encampment, and had been in CAP for just 2 months (joined in october of that year)

In Illinois, the only way I know where previous encampments were held is the fact that one of our regulars each year has been attending the encampments since he joined with the exception of a couple of years he was in the AF. He kept a list of those encampment locations. This year will be his 54th or 55th encampment.

Your wing historian may be able to help, but as ol'fido alludes, most wings don't have anything formal.

Hi Mike! Like we keep all of our past members records in the back room, maybe your old squadron still hung on to your files. Give them a call or send an email to them and pray.

A data base of past encampment attendance? Really?!?  I had to attend an encampment to get my Mitchell. I have the Mitchell certificate but not the certificate for encampment attendance. So no credit for that encampment.

Sorry, wasn't looking for my records or attendance.  Just a list of weeks and locations that encampments were held in years past.  I definitely wouldn't expect anyone to have a record of cadet participation from 20-something years ago.  Apologies for the confusion.  Easiest thing at this point sounds like to just make something up to suit my kids' ages.  Parenting 101.

Lt., I think both of us know how likely that is, especially given the relationship with that squadron...

We will be actively trying to change that this year at ILWG SE. I am going to start putting as much of our known history on the website this summer and start a program to maintain an online database and yearbook for each year of encampment in the future. We will also be putting our daily and master IAPs on the web in PDF form.

The dates of the 2003 OHWG Encampment were 5-12 July 2003. That was my basic Encampment so I remember it quite well!
