Has there ever been any mention of bringing back the aviator shirt with the Blazer Name Tag? If they take the ribbons away do the epaulets go too?

I remember that combo, and if anything it was even plainer, duller and drearier than the current G/W, not to mention that wearers of that could not wear anything they had earned.

Bring that back and they might as well bring back the Guyabera and Smurf Suit.

Then I will be finally convinced that, yes, NB have lost their collective mind.

Wait a minute.  No need to be testy.

Most of the time I wear the AF blue uniform...I have since I joined in '93.  The only time I wear the G/W is when my hair hasn't been cut in a while.

My point is that we've already copped one shaft from having the CSU taken away for reasons unknown.

If NB would take away the only other semi-reasonable way that we have to look professional, the damage to esprit de corps would be quite significant...and would send the message that unless you're fit to wear the AF uniform, you have to make do with looking like a Realtor.

There are undoubtedly some realtors on this forum who take umbrage at your constant derogatory remarks about looking like a realtor.  This is simply your opinion and a lot of folks who participate here may not agree with you.  I suggest that you find another derogatory name to call those who wear the blazer and gray slacks.  I never owned an AF uniform the entire 19 years that I was in CAP: I always wore the blazer combination and it never seemed to make me a lesser contributor to the CAP mission.

^^It's really hard for me to be derogatory about Realtors...I worked in that industry for several years.  I wasn't directly involved with Realtor operations, but I worked for a publication with real estate listings.  During that time I got to know several Realtors quite well.  I respect them because the ones I knew worked hard.  And the ones I knew had a fairly good sense of humour and would have been likely to say "Yuk!  I wouldn't be caught dead in that CAP uniform!"

I am also not the only one using that terminology.

I also do not recall saying that those who didn't wear the USAF uniform were lesser members.  All I have said is that the G/W uniform is barely tolerable (for ME) as it is, and to go back to the pre-95 setup would be even worse.
