The AE badge is annoying me.  I need to put a new star on it.

It has this little loop thing instead of a hole where I could just push a new star through.

What gives?  How do I attach a new star to this freaking thing?

Pic? I'd go look at mine except it's in the bedroom closet and my wife needs to get up really early tomorrow.

It was 10+ years ago when I added the gold star to mine, but I recall it had a simple hole.  I stuck the two prongs of the star through, then bent them flat - just like adding a star to the ribbon.

If the metal AE badge has changed in the meantime, then I don't know.

By the way, if it's a gold star you are adding, don't forget to put in for your A. Scott Crossfield Award!

picture attached.  This isn't a Hock Shop thing or something.

It came from an official CAP source (but may have been CAPMart).

Need to see the back side. It looks different from my CP badge.

Put the star through the hole. That's what I had to do. I don't know why they don't come with a blue star. I had to paint one.

Finally was able to pry the loop out.  It was bent, glued and painted in and wouldn't budge.
