I've been toying with the idea of using a 40 foot RC blimp for SAR operations. 40 foot blimps can carry about 10 pounds of payload and have more than 4 hours of endurance. I believe that we currently have the technology of making this work on a budge of $30k, its just a matter of someone proving the concept
