CCAlex, that's about as clear as pea soup on a British coast in the early mornings of spring while wearing shades.

Ooo, that was a good long one!

But I have the same question as jimmydeanno.

EDIT: Ahh.

Make sure your uniform is in perfect order per CAPM 39-1. Know your chain of command. Know the information you should already know as a cadet with the Wright Brothers Award.

If you are put together and are properly in uniform, really no worries. Check all measurements and accouterments twice.

But seriously, make your uniform in line with CAPM 39-1.

Not wanting to dog pile....but [darn]!

How do you pass a uniform inspection?

From foot to head.

shoes/boots....black and polished.
Socks.......Black
Pants.....hemmed correctly, clean and servicable.
Belt....routed the correct way...brass on brass
Gig Line....straight (shirt/pants/belt)
Shirt....clean and servicable...name tage centered and grounded, ribbons centered and grounded, badges centered and 1/2" spacing level to ribbons.
Rank....1" centered and parallel to front edge of collor
Hair....facial hair not extending beyond corners of mouth or drooping below the lip, head hair not touching the collar or the ears, bulk and length correct.  Neatly groomed.
Hat....cookie 1.5" from edge and centered...parallel to the ground.  Hat centered on head two fingers above eyebrow...may have slight tilt to wear's right.

The real problem with the question is that you have been in CAP for a while now....why don't you know this?  :(

I just caught that - how can you get to a Wright Bros. without passing uniform inspections?

I sense some leadership problems here.

WIWAC, one of the requirements to pass Achievement 1 was to demonstrate the ability to properly wear the uniform.

In the Cadet program Manual (Yes I'll have to look, no I don't have the reference) There is a standardized uniform inspection card.

However, Comma.......There is more than one person in here stating the obvious.....Read the manual.

Sir, you are absolutely correct. There is also the same card in the Cadet Staff Handbook and the new Drill Guide.

Each publication has it in a different size.
Each is legible (though the 52-16 image looks like a stretched out version of the Cadet Staff image), with the Cadet Staff Handbook and Cadet Drill Guide forms being the clearest and easiest to print and study.

I realize I am old and went to school with Lincoln, but isn't 1.5 inches still the same as 1 1/2 inches?

I'm guessing that since he thanked him for the correction he went back and fixed the original post.

DC is correct....I edited it to 1.5" after the correction.

Thank you for the clarification.  Having not seen the unedited post, I found it rather odd.

Make sure your hair does not touch your ear WHEN/ IF YOU SMILE.  I lost 1 point for a very short haircut (high and tight) touching my ear.  Now I'll get a haircut a few hours before inspection.

It's possible for a high and tight to touch your ear?
