red ribbon week

Can we wear the red ribbon during red ribbon week, and if so, where do we wear it?

That's a tough one.

My initial thought was to ask you if it's in 39-1 and that's your answer.

But the more I've thought about it I'd have to say I would allow it on BDUs for my cadets. I would let the cadets decide on a uniform location. The reason I would allow it is: it is similar in concept to an ID badge and DDR is one of our AF missions.

I've only seen it worn once, about 10 years ago, and that was under the ribbon rack on the class B blues.

You saw someone in the Army wearing a CAP DDR ribbon?   That's great!

Yes you can wear it, and would be encouraged to wear it or display it at school and other public places so people can see it
and ask you about it.
