cap funeral honors

I don't know much of anything about honor guard.
But i'm wondering if there are protocols for some sort of CAP honors at a funeral of a CAP member.  For example an 'original' CAP member.  Someone who never served in the armed forces.

I can't really think of what CAP honors would look like, other than military style honors done by CAP people...

Thoughts?

hmm, i guess that anyone who wants them can get taps and an american flag
or a firing party
or fireworks
or blast rap music
or whatever, i suppose...

I guess I thought maybe there were limitations on ceremonial entitlement, or at least limits on appropriate extension of "military" honors to non-military people (???)

It's one of those famous CAP gray areas.

It's not a military honor, it's a "CAP honor" (for lack of a better term.)

That is to say, it's a ceremony, taken by CAP members, and made into a CAP ceremony closely resembling (if not replicating) a military ceremony.

Clear as mud?

It's not really a military ceremony then is it? It's a CAP ceremony. If a Fire Department or Ambulance Corps and Police Department has a ceremony with a honor guard of uniformed personal, flags, rifles, saluting and whatnot, is that a 'military' ceremony?

We have been in the planning stages of my funeral for some time, key elements will include a medium-sized wooden boat, 50 gallons of gasoline, and a freshly-strangled Norwegian girl of good family to travel with me to a Viking afterlife. I invite all former Cadet Survival School Students to attend and shoot flaming arrows and or shoot APIT rounds to insure a proper CAP-style funeral pyre. Bagpipes optional. I am sure its authorized in "The book of Maxwell".....probably way towards the back...)

It is in the back of the book. However since CAP is not an organization that uses boats, the book says you must replace the boat with a black van. And CAP has a surplus of those wandering the country, complete with CAPForm 2B's.

CAP won't let me be immolated in a Black Van because CAWG decided I would need to have a Class B drivers license .  There apparently is some rule in the back of the Vehicle Code, maybe its an interim Change Letter by Ahhhnold. I could fill out a post-dated 2B firing myself from CAP for inappropriate and unlicensed operation of a Van....

Black vans disappeared with the last administration, now they are wrapped with colorful images and have the triangle-thingy prominently displayed.

Undoubtedly, Jedi are also cool.  But they don't wear helmets with horns on them.  Either one could probably get plenty of chicks, though
