PhoenixCadet, I'm in the same boat as you as far as registration. Have you received a response from the help desk yet about what to put for grade?

Not yet, but I'm not putting much hopes in it, either.  It's been a while since I submitted it.  There's plenty of pre-selections you need to make to ensure that you're a CAPer and not an AF member, so if I register before getting a response, I'll just put O-2.

There's no plain "Civilian" option, so matching it to my Cadet grade is the best thing I can come up with, and since the course is the same for all CAP members, regardless of what rank you select, I would hazard a guess that this specific part doesn't quite matter (see my previous comment about there being plenty of pre-selections stating I'm a CAP member).

If it does turn out to be a "problem" in their eyes, IMO, it's their fault for not providing clear guidance on the subject.

PhoenixCadet,

The previous version of CAPR50-17 had a complete chart with the codes:

C/2Lt: C-1
C/1Lt: C-2
C/Cpt: C-3
C/Maj: C-4
C/LTC: C-5
C/LTC: C-6

On the CAP University webpage, there is an e-mail address and phone for Ms Jennifer Carroll, CAP's Professional Development Registrar and knowledgeable of all things AU A4/6. And since this is/was a Professional Development course, you could have asked your wing's friendly Director of Professional Development if you had any questions.

Be patient with the AU eCampus Help Desk. They serve the Air Force's world-wide correspondence program and can be a bit slow to respond sometimes.

Roger that, sir.  I will contact Ms. Carroll ASAP.  Thank you!

It seems the C-x ranks have dropped off there. Select O-2, and use the comment box, or call 'em tomorrow.. I have found with answers related to AU, to just call. It gets caught in a never ever answer loop online. They just need to make sure you're CAP. You're correct, it's the same course regardless.

Download the spreadsheet, get the "shred code" for CAWG, Van Nuys, and you're done.

Roger.  I've still got a bit of time, and just fired off an e-mail to Ms. Carroll at NHQ.  I'll call AU tomorrow, and if they can get me an answer, I'll go ahead with it ASAP.

Just received an e-mail back from Jennifer Carroll at NHQ.  She said (what I was going to do) use the senior-member equivilant of your cadet grade.

Now that the online AFIADL system is back up, I finally submitted my application.  We'll see how this goes.

In this day and age, is it possible to set a RCLS through online classroom?

Kinda like my college classes are done?
