I believe Paul Cianciollo (sp).  Good guy.  Probably did what I would have done.  Found a cool/funny pic and copied it.

I believe TXWG did the same thing on there conference page.

Yet another reason why I'm glad my gifted portalperson has nothing to do with CAP.

Actually, it doesn't appear to be exactly Colgan's Portalperson.  The one on the conference page is missing Colgan's GT and CP badges, and has a different ribbon rack.

Though this thread reminds me that my Portalperson is still a 1st Lt.  Hah.

The whole thing is just a farce to me anyway.

"you have to be gifted one of these" .. "when you get the 'form', you'll know you've been deemed worthy" .. whatever.

Maybe one of these days I'll take an MSN people icon and fix it up..

I mean, heck, the whole thing deems itself a "sticky" post? Thats just amazing. ;-)

Weebles Wobble, but they don't fall down ..

When I first started reading here, I wondered about the lovely portalpersons.  I thought about using something similar, mainly one of these, or these, or these, or these

In fact, I decided to photo-chop one together for myself:

But after I figured out that they were special gifts for worthy people, I decided not to infringe.

THESE portalpeople are graphics made by someone, as he said, as little gifts for his friends.  You are perfectly welcome to make your own weebles.  Weebles were not the issue.  The issue was that people were taking the signatures that were made for someone in particular.  It would be the same as me taking one of those little signature banners or some such thing from someone else.

It is also unreasonable to think that Tedd could have created one for every person who is on CAPTalk.  He made little graphics for his CAP friends and other people started kidnapping the poor weebles.  Weebles do not have legs and cannot even return to their rightful owner by themselves.  This is cruel.

It is really that simple.  If someone wishes to create their own weeble, go for it.
