Happy Christmas?

After all Hanukkah is over, so what other holiday can it be!? :)

For full disclosure, I am a previously Russian Orthodox Christian, who is engaged to a Jew. Neither one of us believes in anything much though, so Happy Holidays, and a Happy New Year, the only holiday Russians tend to celebrate.

Merry Christmas and have a Happy New Year. I will be taking cadets down to Florida for the FLWG encampment on Sunday.

Actually Christmas day is a Federal Holiday, so it is a National Holiday.  Those that complain about Christmas not being "their holiday" should go to work on Friday and get regular pay, NOT holiday pay!

Christmas is no more one religion than it is a commercialization of our Nation.  It is Santa Clause giving kids toys.  Last I looked, Santa Clause is not listed in the christian bible.

Maybe, but CHRISTmas only exists due to Jesus, the Christ.  China even has Christmas trees and Santa, but in my house, Christmas is CHRISTmas.

In my house Christmas was on January 7th, and "Grandpa Frost" (not St. Nick) came on New Years Day. But that's because Uncle Stalin made it so. :P

No one should be offended if a Christian wishes them a Merry Christmas.  After all, the Christian is merely offering the peace of their season.  No one should be offended if a Jew wishes them Happy Chanukah, because it is that person's good wishes to others via their celebration.  Atheists should not be offended by someone wishing them either of the above because the bottom line of both is PEACE and GOOD WILL.  PEACE BE WITH YOU is not the domain of any one religion, it is the wish that there be no conflict between neighbors, friends or relatives.

So, if someone wishes you a Merry Christmas, Happy Easter, Happy Chanukah or the like and it does not apply, merely wish them PEACE BE WITH YOU.  What do you have to lose?   What else are you gonna do, fight 'em?   Who's being tolerant or intolerant then...eh?  Think about it.

Theses days, however, people seem to want to be offended by everything.  That is sad...it negates the whole idea of the season.

Merry Christmas and the Happiest of Holiday WISHES to you and yours from Joe Ely, Norma, Micaela and Mia Carrales.

What a year it's been.  I'm glad we can celebrate.  I got some great cards for the holidays.  I got one really nice ecard from the CTWG/CC on Weds.  Now I hear is is on a "Leave of Absence".  Hope he's OK.  I hate to think something bad happened on Christmas.  He is in my prayers.
