I am trying to get more of my Cadets interested in Emergency Services through the basic GES qualification, but I haven't used any of the online OPS Qualification stuff for years, and with the new ICS courses, I'm pretty confused. I found another CAWG squadron that had a set of instructions on how to do it, and I'm using those for the PDF I created to distribute to my squadron, but want to make sure that this is actually how it's done.
Attached is the PDF.
Lastly - if a Cadet has completed their Curry, and the Sq/CC or other staff member enters it in eServices, does the Cadet still need to enter it in the OPS/Qual section? It was listed in there - but I want to make sure. I thought they were the same system (OPS/Qual & regular CP achievements), but whereas I'm a C/2d Lt, and have all achievements listed in the CP section, I only have the Curry listed in the OPS/Qual section.
Thanks!
If your unit is utilizing the Cadet Promotions systems then there is no need to register the Curry in "Ops Quals".
As for the rest, the first thing you need to do is talk with your Senior ESO or Commander and make sure that is how they want to handle the process.
The document is current and will work just fine, just make sure your command staff is involved.

This has already been done.
Thank you.
That file gives some great information. Kudos to those who created it. I can only add that I've posted instructions in a past posting on how to enter cadet Curry information into OpsQuals so I won't repeat that here. However there are those who feel that posting Curry's by cadet program officers using the cadet promotion application is really a better way to go and I agree. IceNice is correct; forget using OpsQuals.

Roger.
My old squadron never added Cadet records online (in the CP area), because, I assume, it wasn't required back then. They only did it in the OPS/Qual area if a Cadet wanted to get their GES done.
It's still not required... unfortunately :'(

I wonder what it is I'm mixing that up with then. I coulda sworn I saw something that said they're now required. Meh. :-\
If you need anymore 'how to's' here is some stuff I put together for our cadet ES training program:
www.tvcseagles.com - then click on "Emergency Services" tab on the left
I hope it helps
