A Concord firefighter who is a Democratic state representative is running for New Hampshire's 2nd Congressional District seat.
John DeJoie announced Monday he will seek the seat being vacated by Democratic U.S. Rep. Paul Hodes, who is running for the U.S. Senate. DeJoie is serving his fourth term in the New Hampshire House. He has worked as a firefighter in Concord for 14 years.
DeJoie said he will work to create jobs, protect consumers, reform health care and provide high quality services for veterans.
Hopkinton lawyer Ann McLane Kuster also is seeking the Democratic nomination.
This State Representative has been highly supportive of our work in NH. He has also helped to ensure that our state funding has been continued.
He's also attended the last two of our Wing Conferences as a guest speaker. Nice guy, likes our team.
Cool. If he is the right person for the job I hope he gets it. Its always nice when the right person for the job happens to also support CAP.
Is he part of the NH Legislative Squadron? [assuming there is one]
John is a good guy. I like him and vote for him even though I lean the other direction politically. Why? Because I believe in him, and like me, he's not an ideologue. I'm glad he's running for a DC seat, so I can vote for him again. (I move out of Concord a couple years ago, so he's not my state rep..)
Wonder if Darcy Burner's gonna run again??? ::)
