I need some advice.
One of my SMs says he took the 116 and on his 101, it reads GES Inactive.
He completed Level 1 and that reflects. He also did OPSEC.
Anyone know why GES Inactive would read on this 101.
I cannot find a record of him completing the 116 parts 1 and 2 but he claims he took it and if he did not, would GES show up on the 101 at all?
Thanks in advance.
The 116 is only half the requirement for GES. The other is completing ICS-100.

NOTE: The CAP ICS 100 test (GES Part 2) is no longer available. Please take the
Introduction to Incident Command System, I-100 from FEMA.
The only requirment for GES under the new 60-3 is to take the CAP Test 116. I thought you still needed the ICS 100 but you don't. You only need that to complete a qualification.
Has he completed: Opsec, CPPT & Equal Opportunity Training? they are all part of Level 1 now.

Ah, they finally codified it. I stand corrected.
Don't worry for awhile I thought you still needed both myself. I only found out last month. I still do my best though to have my people do it first, I find that it helps with some of the training.
So with the GES being inactive did your SM not put all of his/her info into eServices or WMU? That is if you use WMU.
You should be able to view his 116 tests here https://tests.cap.af.mil/ops/tests/html/member_tests.cfm if he did indeed take them.

That's a nice website!

Thanks for the information.
I concur... within hours of completing the CAPT 116, it shows up on the 101 card. If after looking up the person and finding no record of completing the test, he would need to retake unless he can provide a printed copy of the certificate you get at the end. I wonder if he was perhaps signed in on someone else's computer and it registered under their ID?
Very impressive with him completing his Tech, Senior and Master ratings all within 30 mins of each other... and here I thought I had to wait until I actually completed the level fully before moving on and taking the next test... lol

Completing the test does does NOT earn the rating.
^^^
As I remember it, it was a boring Sunday right after getting other requirements done for my Achievement 8
Completing the test does does NOT earn the rating.

I respectfully disagree. I just got done hosting a huge ES mission and had numerous cadets who needed their 101 cards. Within hours of them completing their tests, it showed up on their 101 cards. Unless some ES fairy is doing things I'm not aware of, it happened on its own.

He was refering to the Cadet Programs Tests.....not CAPT 116.
I hate it when topics go in two different directions... makes it hard to figure out what you're replying to... apologies.
The only thing I have to add to the advice regarding the GES Qual that has already been given is to make sure that the senior in question has entered his physical characteristics into eServices. Until the height/weight/hair/eye color have been entered, his 101 card will show as Inactive, or not valid (don't remember which one).
I believe it's the "Not Valid" I have a few cadets who haven't done that and thus thats what's displayed when I look at their 101 Card.
