Title: Certificates
Post by: Dutchboy on October 03, 2009, 05:57:32 AM
What is the process for ordering PD certificates for example CAPC 13. Who has access to ordering them. Is the PDO allowed to order them?

The PD certificates are sent out by National. They are not a unit item.

CAPC 13 is a locally filled in and presented certificate. They are available through the form 8 Restricted Application. Admin, Personnel, and PD Officers have this permission as a function of their assignment to those positions.

I don't have permissions that show up. Talk to my squadron WSA?

Yes, though some wings do not allow for unit-level WSA's and hold those functions themselves, so don't be surprised if you have to work your way up.

If you are a properly appointed PDO, you should have access to the Form 8 ordering.

Talk to your unit commander. All commanders now have WSA permissions; this is a recent change of a few months ago.

Not me.  I'm listed as the PDO in eservices, but have no access.  I guess I'll talk to the commander.

Looks like only commanders, vice commanders, deputy commanders and administration officers now have that permission automatically assigned. There's apparently been a change.

Not me.  I'm also Deputy Commander (verified in eservices) and I don't have access to it.

I just re-checked "Applications by Duty Assignment" in e-services. You should!

Maybe I do and I can't find it.  All I have access to is member reports and track administration.  The only forms or materials I have access to is recruiting brochures.  Am I missing something?

Look at Your Restricted Applications in the lower middle menu set. It will tell you what you have permissions for. The Form 8 app should be in the restricted apps menu on the RH side of your eServices home screen.

- - listed with both "Member Reports" and "Specialty Track Administration". If you don't see it you don't have it. Ask your CC to issue you the permission if you feel you need it or simply ask your CC or admin officer to order what you need.
