Title: Shoulder Cords
Post by: 102ri on September 13, 2009, 03:26:37 PM
I was wondering if someone could help me locate a reg about a CAC shoulder cord.

Is a former CAC Chairman still entitled to wear their blue cord even after their term, or must they refrain from wearing it. Thanks.

Nope, CAC representatives can only wear their cord while they are in office. They can continue to wear the CAC Service ribbon though, assuming they served at least one term.

And Wing CAC chairs aren't automatically entitled to the blue Region CAC cord, unless they are actually a representative there. That typically is the case, but it's a common point of confusion.

See CAPR 52-16, Paragraph 3-8 and Figure 3-1, on page 35.
