To all, let it be known that John Kach and Jack Benny are both 29 years old this day!!!
Just out of curiousity, what's the number of the 29 year old anniversary are we talking about?
>:D
Anyway, Happy Birthday Kach!

Careful, Hawk, the man is a living legend...his age is merely trivial!!! "You don't step on superman's cape, you don't spit into the wind, do pull the mask off the old Lone Ranger and you don't mess around with KACH...or "Big Bad John" as he is well known. ;)
Happy B-day! :D
Best Wishes for many more!
Many happy returns of the day, Kach!
And Sparky ... Jack Benny was 39, not 29 ... now Kach can be 29 forever, if he so wishes. But Mr. Benny made his living being 39.
Jack (who borrowed the name from Mr. Benny)
Happy Birthday, Kach!
BTW Sparky, Col. Jack is correct, Jack Benny was (and remains!) permanently 39!
Thank you all for your best wishes.
I just got back from Patrick AFB where I got my new blue card and signed up for TriCare.
I am no longer "USAR," but now "Army of the United States, Retired."

Honestly, that was a slip of the keys, but I would think that Mr Benny's estate might sue...and Mel Blanc's estate would simply
Si.
I was an AUS (back when officers had dual status - temporary and permanent grade). Heck, I thought they got rid of that component. Cool day when you finally get your (Jack) bennies. Pun intended. >:D

Hoisting a cold one for you... not too long before I do it again at Kwaj! ;D

And since I run a part-time business as a firearms instructor, I take a couple of guns out to get more money whenever I need it.
A very Democrat thing to do!

I figured Democrats could have guns, but no one else could. Wait... that sounds like communism!
And remember, kiddies: "A communist is a socialist with your gun."
Hang in there, Kach: pretty soon you can draw Social Security and be a triple-dipper. Nothing like those three annuity checks in the bank account every month, courtesy of lots of the CAPtalk folks.
Too bad he didn't more strongly support my idea for a CAP pension system - could have been a 4th source of income.

(Sound of loud buzzer)
Wrong!
Since the Communists were in charge during the Clinton administration, too, my Social Security will be cut to ribbons because I also am collecting a state civil service pension. The fact that I worked and paid into SS all during my police and military years is meaningless. The govt. has decided that I don't need SS, therefore I don't get it.
Based on the letters the send me every year, I should get just over $2000 a month in SS benefits, but because of the "Windfall Elimination" I will actually get between $200-$300 per month.
Like working hard at two jobs for most of your life is a "Windfall."

Kach: I know your frustration. I had my Social Security gutted because I collect a Federal pension as well as my military pension. Still, it is enough to pay the bar bill.
