Title: Airvan Sat Phone
Post by: Flying Pig on June 30, 2009, 05:54:18 PM
Does anyone have information on what type of sat phone is in the CAWG Airvan?  I saw it a couple of days ago, but would like to get the make and model.  And a photo of it if possible.

Rob: call Joe Chizmadia, he is the aircraft manager.  I have his number if you can't find it.

I think they are all the same.  Ours are the Rcom R-100 globalstar satphone.  I can't remember the model number for the dialer.

I believe it is a SAGEM Globalstar model: Sagem Avionics RCOM 100 Globalstar Aeronautical Satellite Telephone.

Here's a link to a SB that will give you the mfg info: http://members.gocivilairpatrol.com/media/cms/SAGEM_RCOMM_100_SB_96596FA9B962F.pdf
