PASADENA, Calif. — It may not look like much now, unassembled under silver tarps, but once it's completed and launched, the Mars Science Laboratory will be the biggest, most powerful vehicle ever sent to the red planet.

If it's half as successful as the first two, it should do well.

Politician story

A group of congress critters visited NASA for a fact-finding tour.  They were shown a diarama of one of the Mars rovers.  One critter excitedly asked the tour guide: "Can this rover drive over to where the astronauts landed?"   :D

That scares me.....
